A New Life, New Door

Metaphorically, a new door provides a new entrance, new beginning, new identity for one's life. Imagine reaching for a doorknob of a home that you are looking to buy, and stepping in and seeing exactly what you dreamed. Or, turning that doorknob to the new office that you have waited your whole life to enter, for a fresh start and new career. On the other spectrum, you could be entering a harrowing experience, because the door you entered does not suit the life you want to create. While this is all metaphorical, it does go to show that a 'door' is the opening and closing of each movement you make, and why not find one that suits exactly what you want to embody. Perhaps, that is security, creativity, structural, inventive.... the possibilities are endless. I have been watching the movie, Encanto on repeat with my kids. While this is a cartoon, the symbolism is running heavy. My kids view this movie as a colorful and enchanting cartoon that the characters sing, and have magical powers.... and I view this movie as powerful and identity driven through themes, where the characters have to open the door to their casita that holds so much power and expectations. Throughout the movie you see the characters stay true to their beliefs of whom they are and what society expects them to do. Then there is the main character that struggles because she didn't receive her 'magic' when she opened her door. The identities are then broken down to show true love and empathy, allowing ALL to enter into the community home where there is love and acceptance for all. Yes, I know this is a movie, and I know that we install and create doors, but I haven't stopped thinking about this movie and the relationship to our business since I began watching it! With the right business to help consumers create and identify with their 'door', they are creating a new image and identity for themselves. We are here for you, we get people and we understand the true essence of community!
